Artist Bio:

Vibraphonist Nick Mancini has been performing professionally since the age of 15. He earned his masters from Manhattan School of Music and spent 10 years honing his craft in NYC before relocating to Los Angeles. He's performed and recorded with Arturo Sandoval, Peter Erskine, Poncho Sanchez, Kenny Werner, Solange, and Kamasi Washington. As a bandleader he's released numerous recordings and played in top venues around the world, most notably Birdland in NYC and Blue Whale in LA. He's successfully curated multiple concert series including 5 seasons of his, ‘elastic hour’.

Mancini is sponsored by Majestic Percussion (vibes) and Innovative Percussion (mallets). In 2008 he was named LA Vibes Summit Honoree and in the same year was invited to join the faculty at Cal State Northridge and Long Beach, and has taught private vibes lessons at The Monk Institute, in addition to maintaining his private teaching studio for nearly 2 decades. Naturally gifted in the art of socializing, some have gone so far as to say he is the Mayor of the LA jazz community.
