Stichting Culturele Activiteiten Opsterland (SCAO) organizes the Gouden Spiker Festival every year. We offer amateur orchestras the possibility of a wonderful performance for the public. The Gouden Spiker Festival is organized for Brassbands and Fanfares that come out in the 5th, 4th and 3rd division. In addition, there is a place for youth orchestras, incomplete orchestras and groups of children at the festival. These musicians can participate in the Festival Division.
