KHS America, home of Jupiter Winds, Mapex Drums, Majestic Percussion, and XO Professional Brass in the U.S. is proud to announce the extension and expansion of their partnership with the Arizona Academy of the Performing Arts of Tempe, Arizona.

This relationship will continue to feature The Academy and Bugle Corps performing exclusively on Jupiter Marching Brass, Mapex Drums, and Majestic Percussion, but has also been expanded to feature XO Professional Trumpets.

“The Academy has been a great partner, showcasing the Quantum series of instruments from inception. With an ever-expanding range of options available, we are honored that they choose Jupiter, Mapex and Majestic. Expanding this to include XO trumpets makes sense in given the increasing demands of ensembles competing on this level,” states Chris Hankes, School Music Business Unit Manager for KHS America. “Additionally, the educational mission of the organization synchronizes well with our own desire to impact lives through music. With events such as CenterStage and Summer Marching Academy, ensembles including the drum corps and Phenom SoundSport Ensemble, and affiliations with other local arts groups,  the Arizona Academy of the Performing Arts continues to cultivate musical opportunities.”

The Academy was founded in 2001 with the mission of “building great people through great performances”.  The Academy has a vision of enhancing the culture of music, dance, and the performing arts in Arizona by assisting and enhancing current school programs and filling voids in some areas of public arts opportunities. They remain committed to creating a positive learning and performance experience for all participants, and to providing members with the knowledge and inspiration to take their art to the next level.

Executive Director, Mark Richardson, adds, “For the past 8 years The Academy has enjoyed a strong partnership with Jupiter, Mapex, and Majestic.  We at The Academy continue to be excited about the ongoing relationship in large part to our mutual desire to grow and excel our programming through the continual development of these incredible instruments.  The extension of this partnership is a renewal of that commitment to excellence in music and the performing arts.  We could not be more excited about the addition of the XO professional brass to the family of instruments that The Academy will be performing on this season.”
